Top 12 Biggest Excuses for not joining CrossFit!

Top 12 Biggest Excuses for not joining CrossFit!

Ever had a friend or family member approach you to try CrossFit?

If you have you probably came up with a few of these excuses as fast as you could get them out of your mouth.

1) I’m too old for that type of training
2) I have too many injuries to do CrossFit
3) I don’t have the time
4) It’s too expensive
5) It’s too hard
6) I need to get in shape before I can start CrossFit
7) CrossFit is only for athletes
8) I don’t want to compete
9) I’m too overweight to do CrossFit
10) I heard a lot of people get injured doing CrossFit
11) I’m afraid of getting bulky or huge
12) CrossFit is too intimidating

I think for most people the excuses aren’t necessarily valid but that people have been misinformed about what CrossFit training really is.

I’d like to clarify the difference between what the public perceives CrossFit to be and what my CrossFit Thoroughbreds affiliate actually is. I will take you through the Top 12 excuses to shatter all the myths and give you the reality of what you’re missing by not joining CrossFit.

I will post 1 new excuse each day for the next 12 days. Check back each day and post your comments, "like it" and don't forget to share with your friends.

1) I’m too old for that type of training

The reality is no one is “too old” to exercise. I have clients from 10 years old to 74 years old. The exercises and intensity of the exercises change depending on age and fitness level. At CrossFit Thoroughbreds we scale and modify each and every workout to fit the needs of each individual client. This is not a “one size fits all” type of program.
