I was messing around on the Internet the other night and came across something on Yahoo! that caught my eye.
It was an article on the Myths of Bottled Water meant to enlighten us on whether or not we need to spend big bux on these over-hyped plastic containers.
Now more interesting than the article was the woman who left a comment about the need to drink lots of water to lose fat.
According to her, we've been told to drink lots of water as part of a huge conspiracy theory. She believes the only reason anyone tells her to drink so much water is so that she'll buy more bottled water.
Look, I'll be the first to tell you that the food companies and government agencies are a little too chummy. And they definitely do alter things here and there to sell more crappy food to you.
But I've also helped hundreds and hundreds of men and women lose pounds and inches and one thing is crystal clear:
Drinking plenty of water DOES help you burn fat fast.
And I mean good old fashioned water. While NBA players and hip-hops stars make for great marketing, they aren't looking out of your fat loss interests. Meaning, you don't need to be slamming back gallons of water fueled with sugar and a couple vitamins and minerals.
Let me make this clear: If you're drinking "flavored" water filled with sugar, well, you're not doing your belly any favors.
Being hydrated is critical to your body melting fat at optimal capacity. Just don't hydrate with sugar.
I know you can do it!
